In 2000 MC Flow migrated to San Diego from New York, bringing with her fresh beats and diversity to the lesbian music scene. Taylor-Tay is the Sugar to MC Flow's spicy rhymes, providing amp and energy to get the crowd stoked on the show. GG is a master of moves, flowing as smoothly as MC Flow spits. DJ Rob Fayder provides the toe tappin' beats and completes the Pot of Gold. The group recently had a CD release party at The Casbah which combined an animalistic video backdrop, sweet moves, and of course phat rhymes. After the show I asked a few people what they thought MC Flow has brought to the lesbian community.
LiMC Flow gets a message across through her uncensored "drop kick, in yo face" lyrics, said Andrea, "a big fuck you! Get over yourself".sen views MC Flow as "a risk taker" and extrapolated further by saying, "I just want to buy her a beer?. I asked the band members what they thought they bring to the San Diego lesbian community. As eloquently as she dances, GG said, "freshness, energy, and stylistic enthusiasm. MC Flow said, "I think we bring a strong message of empowerment, as well as a good time! Booty shakin' beats, and lyrics that make you laugh and think." When asked what they would like to see more of in the San Diego lesbian community, GG said she would like to see "more ladies express their true talent and creative side." She believes that "everyone has creative potential. Be brave. Be bold. Find your outlet. Work it out!" MC Flow would like to see, "More political awareness and activism!!!" So there you have it ladies, straight from the rhyme spittin', dope set spinnin', rad dance movin' group itself. Go out and make a creative difference in our community!
