Veronica May has been playing piano for 20 years, percussion for 11 and guitar for 5. She grew up in a small town with big love. Her mom and dad played in a band in the 70's called "The Flatlanders". The music carried on through them and will forever. Right now Veronica is changing the way she plays. Her Melody/Percussion is a sound all her own. If her fingers aren't bleeding by the end of the show, she didn't give you everything she had. |

A 3 time San Diego Music Award nominee, Steph Johnson has the voice and stage presence of someone who's been playing music an entire lifetime, in reality, this rising star has only been singing and writing music for little more than 3 years. The press has this to say about her:
"Blending Blues, Soul, Jazz, and R n' B, Steph Johnson is that rare talent that captures your attention from the first note. Whether hearing her music in a live setting or on her recordings, Johnson has an amazing presence, topped off by that voice. Powerful, sultry. Then there's her deft rhythmic, jazz inflected guitar playing. All backed up by her absolute command of the stage." Bart Mendoza, San Diego City Beat |

Not only does she have great taste in house music, but she's also a really, really, really good DJ. You'll have to work a little to find her but when you do, the music is more than worth the effort. She's be moving crowds ever since she dropped the first needle to the record... |

Form in 2005, by Tracy Dezenzo, Pick-Up Girl is an all female band for those who grew up loving MTV but can’t stand to watch a minute of it today. Influenced by artists like Liz Phair, the Go-Go's, Hole, Sheryl Crow, Joan Jett, Tracy Bonham, and K's Choice, Pick-Up Girl's addictive original music is catching everyone's ear. Within a short time this fun, indie/pop group has been received with great enthusiasm. Crowds love them, venues love them and you will love them too. |

After a successful college basketball career, a BA in Criminal Justice, and a season in the Women's Professional Football League, Misty finally found her calling. This seasoned performer is re-defining the "singer/songwriter chic" genre. Misty's intricate and percussive guitar playing is making the boys look bad…….."cause girls just can't play like that ". Her sultry voice can bounce from growl to croon without skipping a beat, leaving the listener with a craving for more. Driving rhythms, original techniques, and refreshing lyrics make it hard for the audience to 'compare' her to familiar artists, despite hints of a Jason Mraz and Tracy Chapman influence. Capable of a brilliant delivery with or without effects, Misty often uses a Boss RC- 20 XL effects pedal and a Digital Delay 3, to enhance the already captivating performance. Born and raised in Colorado, Odell now calls Los Angeles home. Prior to the big move, Misty headed into the studio in 2005 to record her debut, self-titled EP. The first two tracks on the album, "Masterpiece" and "Your Body", have received airplay on stations in Colorado, Alaska, Arizona, and Nebraska. After completing the album, Misty hit the road with tour partner Melissa Ivey, also a Denver native. The two headed north, where they played shows in Oregon, Washington, and California, in an effort to promote the new CD. Despite a string of unfortunate events (snow storms, car problems and more car problems), the two managed to make the dates, as well as new fans. |

"Her name describes it all, MC Flow; as in lyrics that just flow out of her with no hesitation or pause; PC creativity that flows out with humor and skill. This high-achiever from New York has come to the West coast with her style (and accent) to provide a funky, laid-back beat perfect for the cool San Diego scene. But don't underestimate this girl's talent, because not only can she perform a song worthy enough to bust a groove ("Def Perception"), she can also put you on blast and make you beg." - URB Magazine, Jan/Feb 2007 |

Jamie was born subtly southern in the 70's. She grew up next to a tobacco field in North Carolina. At some point she figured out Circuit Parties were fun. Later still, whilst entertaining a fit of minor irritation, she bought some records, a mixer, a couple of tables & started her own party. Still later, she moved to a larger Pond, Venice Beach, and placed an ad in the local WEHO rag. (Thus she met my first agent). She spun parties, parades and fashion shows across the great Fruited Plain. She was invited to Winter Music Conference twice and attended 2002: Tommy Hilfiger's 7&7 Party@Tantra. Now she's in San Diego and feels cold if the temperature drops below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Circuit is the past, ELECTRO-TECH-MINIMAL is her new muse. You can find Jamie O'Byrne dropping them bleeps, blips and beats at her residency Sexy Funk Saturdays @ SIN Niteclub.

We love this girl! And we love this DJ! She has great vibes, plays great music, and we're always happy to see her name on a flier. Amongst an enormous sea of predictable and overplayed DJs, we're excited to see this girl from Jersey doing it right! Of course DJ Dirty Kurty can play hip-hop, house and old-school mash-ups. But what we really like is that we never know what she's going to play. Just when you think you're dialed-in, she'll throw in some old RnB remix that takes us all by surprise. I've had the pleasure of slinging vinyl back to back with Kurty, and can vouch that she has a track repertoire that impressively reaches out to some of the most soulful vocal house records that make your arm hairs stand at attention - an obvious side-effect of her time well-spent in what us house DJs call "The Motherland" of San Francisco.
It's obvious that she's done her homework and she's not afraid to show you that she likes to work hard - it's nice to see a DJ who enjoys herself, her music, her crowd and her dancefloor!
Note to the spectators: Don't just watch her spin. Go up to the dj booth, introduce yourself, thank her and don't you dare make a request!
